THIS FUNDRAISER HAS ENDED. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
THE DOPEST WINTER EVER
Meet Drew (13), Shaun (15), and Alex (21), brothers from Toronto's east end. The three are being raised in a single parent household by their amazing mother, Laura. Drew and Shaun enjoy playing video games, hanging out with friends, and playing soccer. Alex spends most of his time on mixed media art projects and working at the local Food Basics.
If 2020 has taught us anything, it's that no one's going to have our backs like we do. Taking care of our own is so important and impactful, so this holiday season Dope Haus is setting out to assist these boys and their mother by fundraising through the sales of mini greeting card 3-packs. ALL profits will be donated directly to this family.
- Shoes (sizes 15,10, 9.5, 8.5 women's)
- Winter Jackets
- Seasonal Clothing
- Groceries (this family is strict vegan, so food security and accessibility is a thing)
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Contributing to the cause is actually pretty easy. Just order any of the mini card packs or gift tags and choose a donation amount that works for you (everything counts). Donation amounts range from $5-$100. The goal is to raise $1000
Q: How did you choose this family?
A: I asked Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities for some suitable candidates. I got the overview on a few families, and felt like this family would be a good fit
Q: How are you getting the money to this family?
A: Since the family lives in Scarborough, we will be purchasing a Scarborough Town Centre Gift Card
Q: How big are the cards?
A: These cards are supes cute and mini, measuring in and 2.5x2.5 inches with a matching brown envelope! Backs of cards are blank white for your own special message
Q: How big are the gift tags?
A: 3x1.8 inches
Q: Will we get to see actual pictures of the family?
A: No... I haven't even seen pictures.. just their family overview. They know we are raising money for them, but I think it's tacky to put their photos online, just sayin'
Q: What if I want to donate new clothes or gift cards?
A: That can definitely be a thing, email
